Griesser successfully concludes Rebuild 2021 with record attendance

Attendance exceeded all expectations and was higher than the last pre-pandemic edition with more than 10,673 congress attendees.

Rebuild 2021 concluded on Thursday 23 September with figures higher than the last pre-pandemic edition with more than 10,673 congress attendees. The event, which was held at IFEMA, brought together the most influential agents on the scene in what is already considered the big week of building in Madrid. In the words of David Martínez, President of Rebuild and CEO of Aedas Homes, "this event is being held at the best possible time to drive innovation in a sector that must be key to economic recovery, become a generator of employment and a leader in sustainability".

"The interest of the attendees, the quality of the contacts that have been forged and the organisation have been excellent", says Antonio Domínguez, Country Manager of Griesser in Spain, with great joy. The lectures, round tables and presentations in the auditoriums were, with the appropriate sanitary measures, fully booked. The multinational company took advantage of its presence at Rebuild to offer assembly and disassembly sessions of its products in different construction solutions, such as the Metalunic and Lamisol adjustable shutter, among others. It also held a workshop in which it presented the Expanded Neopord Tunnel Box, which makes it possible to soundproof the home in the most effective way and insulate it from the most extreme temperatures and which is proving to provide magnificent results.

"The debate, reflection and deepening of topics of enormous relevance for solar protection and energy efficiency are fundamental, and the creation of spaces such as Rebuild for them to be carried out are essential", concluded Domínguez, and during the fair, the Swiss company placed special emphasis on the automation of the solar protection elements it offers, both in KNX and ZWave technology.

Sustainability and profitability

The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the guidelines of the 2030 Agenda leave no doubt that we have been facing a paradigm shift in the building sector for some years now. Aware of this situation, and of the importance of sustainability and decarbonisation in the building sector, the National Congress of Advanced Architecture and Construction 4.0 has brought together experts from around the world to present their initiatives and projects to achieve a more sustainable and efficient building, such as #BuildingLife, a European project that aims to promote climate action in the field of building and achieve total decarbonisation by 2050, or the Ecoliving Seal to incorporate sustainable measures in housing.

In relation to the forecasts for 2022, Griesser's Country Manager in Spain expressed the need for "materials to continue to be available, for prices to be contained and for users to be patient with delivery dates" due to the strong increase in consumption in the market. The meeting closed its doors after counting more than 11,000 visitors, a figure that exceeds by 60% the attendees of the previous edition, held in 2018.
