Object of the Month

The Service Center in the historical district of the wine-making city of Iphofen was renovated according to plans drawn up by the working group Architekturbüro Reinhold Jäcklein (Volkach) and Architekturbüro Böhm + Kuhn (Iphofen) and equipped with Griesser window roller shutters made of aluminum.

Griesser provided almost 500 wing shutters and sliding bi-fold shutters for the visual design.

In accordance with customer preference, the wing shutters were designed as perforated 10 mm aluminum plates without frames. The predefined perforation brings wonderful light effects into the interior of the building and recalls Iphofen's history of wine-making. In line with the overall concept, the STYLE - special color IGP 4201E82291A3F – a warm brown tone – was selected. The wing shutters were ordered as Diagram 4, i.e. four shutters per window including ball catches for fastening. The armatures selected were completely traditional, with universal bands and screw clamps.

Model SL with the narrow frame was used for the sliding bi-fold shutters. The perforation corresponds to those of the wing shutters and lends a uniform appearance to all of the window roller shutters. The beautiful ambient light resulting from the perforation pattern is also appreciated here. A cable pull is used to operate the sliding bi-fold shutters. Special feature - when in closed position, aluminum wedges between the sashes lead to a "rippling look".
